Italy

As our Italy trips comes to an end, I reflect on the crowds and diversity of the cities we visted. Venice, with it's canals, was amazing. It was a joy to walk about the city and watch the boats pass by the resturants and shops. On our way to Florence, we visited Pisa - the leaning tower. Once in Florence, I enjoyed the rich culture and art, including Michelangelo's statue of David. To think he could create that in his mind, with one block of marbel. I hear the sounds of people and cars, walking the narrow streets among the cathedrals. Rome was incredible history. The Roman Coleiusum, the Vatican, the Sistene chapel, the Pantheon, and St Peter's square. Crowds were EVERYWHERE. Next, we visited the archelogical Pomei. To imagine a city was destroyed in an instance. Finally, the Amafi Coast. While absolute beautiful, it also makes me appreciate our Northern California coast. Our next stop is home!
